ABOUT THE GROUP
The National Military Re-enactment Group is a group of passionate living historians who aim to show, educate and keep the history of the ANZACs alive. Through static displays, re-enactments and other events we show the public the true side of the ANZACs.

The group has members in Canberra, and Sydney. Our main periods of interest are colonial Australia, Napoleonic Wars, Boer War, Imperial Roman, WW1 and WW2.

We attend a number of regular events such as the Bundanoon (NSW) and Kambah (ACT) Highland games, the Jane Austen Festival (ACT), ANZAC Day and Remembrance Day services, WW1 and 42nd training days and other events organised by associated clubs.

Our members are licensed weapon holders and these feature in our displays however, it is not a requirement to be licensed to join.

The National Military Re-enactment Group recognises and Affiliates with Nova Roma, an international living history society Nova roma is a community of scholars, students and enthusiasts who teach and study Roman society through the framework of a symbolic nation based on the ancient Roman Republic. Nova Roma encourages a focus to the study and restoration of ancient Roman culture. Through living history and reenactment, they undertake activities in classical studies and Roman religion, ensuring accuracy in their activities to promote integrity in their Roman identity education.​
